The WCF Partnership Meeting provided an opportunity to attend various conferences aimed at deepening understanding of the challenges that face the cocoa industry today, in particular as we approach the implementation of the European Union Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR). For companies to comply, the regulation requires the use of geospatial information to ensure relevant produce imported into or exported from the EU did not contribute to deforestation-related activities, and require traceability from the plot of production all the way to import/export.

During Chocoa, our Sales & Marketing Team was present at our Starling booth, ready to share and promote our solution to actors of the cocoa industry, and provide them with a solution to navigate the legislation and ensure EUDR compliance.

During these events, we were delighted to meet key actors of the cocoa supply chain, including farmers, local regulators, operators, traders and chocolate makers. Our conversations were very valuable and helped us better understand their individual needs and the challenges they face. Starling was presented as a solution capable of addressing the needs of actors in link with the upcoming EUDR.
